My education lies in Fine Art and Design with a Fashion Major.

I am a self taught portrait and animal artist.

Becoming a vegetarian at age 12 changed my life and created a deeper connection to living creatures.  I found myself very 'drawn' to illustrations of animals I knew and ones affar.

Since becoming vegan, I now see my affect and others affect on these animals and our surroundings.  I feel a inspiration to communicate my observations through my art.

Most of my art starts with an emotional connection with the subject matter. Even if it is a can or a plastic bottle on the side of the road. Or a tyre in the water of Lake Michigan.  I connect with this 'thing'  because I feel that due to my existance on this planet, that 'thing' is displaced and causing harm to nature.

Beauty, color, life.  All three of these qualities exist in nature, on Earth.  I feel the vitality of it and the need to nurture it.

My fabric craft has evolved out of connection to clothing and fibers.  I am a Costume Designer for the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp Opera and have worked extensively withing the California and national Film and Television Industry.  I am both a member of IATSE and The Motion Picture Costumers Local 705.

Utilitarian Design is something I am very interested in continuing to explore.  Modern function and form with fabric.
